When did you start playing? Started playing while I was on Rotary Youth Exchange to Margaret River (Western Australia) in 2005.
Why do you play Aussie rules football? Because I love the speed and physicality of the game, combined with the great variety of skills needed. Coming from a soccer background I like the “hard but fair” spirit that seems to be not existent in soccer.
What other sports do you play and how do they compare to Aussie rules? I only play Footy now. But I played soccer up until 2005. How do you prepare for a big match? The night before I usually think about what I want to achieve in the game and think about how I want to be seen by my opposition. Before I go to sleep i try to imagine some important aspects of my game; this could be my positioning when defending, timing of runs, set play situations etc. On the day I have a good breakfast and try to imagine how I want to play. When I get to the ground I have some routines that I always do, which I like to keep to myself.
How do you celebrate a big win? Dockers don’t win much
What are your personal goals for the tournament? To play up to my best.
Tell us something interesting about Aussie rules in your country? 2012 DAFL Premier League Premiers, Farum Cats, won the 2012 Grand Final with ONLY DANISH players on the list, and a danish coach.
What team are you looking forward to playing and why? GB, as it is always a hard but fair game.
Who do you think will win the tournament? Tough call. But. Whoever end top of our pool!
